Hop Around
(tune: If You're Happy and You Know It)

If you like the Easter Bunny, [hop around].
If you like the Easter Bunny, [hop around]
If you like the Easter Bunny
and you think he's very funny,
If you like the Easter Bunny, [hop around].

I'm a Little Bunny
(tune: I'm a Little Teapot)

I'm a little bunny (point to self)
See me hop (hop up and down)
Watch my ears go flippity flop (flip-flop hands like ears).
My tail is soft as cotton, look and see! (pretend to wag tail).
My nose wiggles, so wiggle with me! (wiggle nose).

St. Patrick's Day

Every year in March St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated.  Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland.  This is a fun and easy St. Patrick’s Day Craft called the Tissue Paper Shamrock.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Today is Dr. Seuss's birthday!
We celebrated by reading "The Cat in the Hat" and we made our very own hat.

Presidents Day

Yesterday was President's Day.  Toddlers do not yet get the concept of Presidents and our government, but that doesn't stop us from making a craft of my two favorite historical people, George and Abe.

I also thought this would be a good time to examine pennies (Abraham Lincoln is on the penny after all!).
All you need is dirty pennies, 2 clear cups, 1/2 cup of vinegar
and 2 teaspoons of salt, dish soap and water.
First we washed the pennies in soap and water.
Next we washed it in our 'magic water' (vinegar and salt).
The kids were amazed at the difference between the dirty pennies and the new, clean pennies.
